About.

Living in New England is what truly inspired me to get into photography.  It seemed as though every picture I took I had a story to tell.  Irosetable.jpg walked up and down every street, every back alley, and under every bridge to find sights that most people would have never seen or noticed.  I quickly developed a passion for capturing the random and unique things that were around me.  This passion followed me to Tennessee where I attended school and then later graduated in Santiago, Chile.  I briefly returned to Portsmouth, New Hampshire for a little over a year and then departed to the west.  Currently I reside in Boulder Colorado and am working on developing who I am as a photographer.

I originally launched The Shutter Project in 2005 under the alias Ox Photography (Speechless Media).  After my computer crashed, taking nearly all my previous work with it, I figured it was time to put my work in a safe place.  By 2008, I changed the name to The Shutter Project because I felt that it suited where I was at with photography.  It has been an ongoing project to learn and develop as a photographer.  My surroundings have changed and my approach is slowly improving with the hard task of finding inspiration in "New America."

You can view my portfolio by selecting the categories on the left or visit The Shutter Project for weekly posts of new photography.
